"My State Farm auto and home insurance policies originally had an effective date of July 18, 2024, with billing cycles from 7/18–8/18, etc. On March 7 this year, we canceled both policies due to a significant premium increase and poor service from the local office. However, on March 10, we were told we still owed $41 for the home insurance. This made no sense to us. We had already paid on February 14, and since our billing cycle runs from the 18th to the 18th, that payment should have covered 2/18–3/18. When my husband (the policyholder) first called the office, the staff member said we didn’t need to pay the $41 and wouldn’t receive any refund. The attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Later, when we called again, we spoke to the same representative (Carla), and the experience got worse. She claimed that payments are based on calendar months (February pays February, March pays March), which contradicts the policy’s actual billing cycle. When I asked about the original July 18 start date, she insisted we were paying for the full month anyway—which would imply being charged for days before coverage even started. She also dismissed my questions and at one point said she couldn’t understand me, which felt especially inappropriate given that English is not my first language. Notably, her tone with my husband (a native speaker) was different—still rude, but not dismissive in the same way. Fortunately, another staff member (Nick) from the same office later confirmed that a refund would be issued. This completely contradicted what Carla told us. The inconsistency within the same office was frustrating and unprofessional. We escalated the issue to State Farm corporate, only to be told that billing and refunds are handled by the local agent’s office. In other words, you are still dependent on the same office even when there’s a dispute. As of March 18, we finally received the refund. If you choose to work with this office, I strongly recommend asking for Nick. Based on our experience, he was the only one who provided clear and accurate information."

"My experience with this agent, Nick and his office agent Carla has been terrible. Nick doesn’t respond to emails. Carla started to help me with a quote. Her communications were timely, always ending emails with “I will call you shortly “. I’m still waiting on the call to activate my policy. It’s been 3 weeks. No response from either Nick or Carla. I am shopping for a responsible agent. I can’t imagine what would happen if I had to make a claim and this agent was handling the claim."

"I have been with State Farm for over 10 years. My original agent and his office staff were amazing. Unfortunately he moved to a new field. Not impressed with the service of the new agent and staff. Called today to make a minor change to a policy, and the staff member I spoke to seemed irritated that they had to actually do something. Shopping for a new insurance company now."

"This is the insurer and agency to use! State Farm has been my go-to insurer for personal lines for many years and Nick's agency since it opened. I had been with another agency but when Nick hired an agent I'd used for 20 years I knew that he wanted nothing but the best service for his clients. You can't beat his premiums--especially if you put all your needs into one neat, easy to handle basket of coverage. Don't hold State Farm's crazy ads against Nick--he didn't choose the ads; he only chooses the best agents so he can provide the best service!"

"I have been with Nick for the last few years, and they used to be very effective and awesome. However, in the last year, my daughter and I have gotten incorrect or misleading information. Whether it is Carla or Nick, they retract what they say in previous conversations, and it is very frustrating. You rely on their expertise, only to get the wrong information."

"Nick introduced me to state farm insurance when he was still an up and coming star for another state farm agent. I had been with another large well known insurance company for the better part of 20 years and for the most part had not had reason to look elsewhere until I realized how much my premiums had gone up looking over a period of years. I had multiple properties, vehicles, personal liability & business coverage and the expense of the coverage was becoming more apparent. It wasn’t until there was a sizable increase in the yearly insurance cost for a multi-unit property (that would have forced me to raise rental prices of which I did not want to do) that I reached out to Nick to take a look at the situation and see what he could do. Over the course of the next few months that initial call led to a comprehensive look at my full spectrum of insurance needs. Nick really dove into each individual need looking at each line item and comparing where improvements could be made and savings could be realized. I really wasn’t expecting the results that he delivered. For example, the initial multi unit property that prompted me to reach out to Nick, he enlightened me that my coverage would not actually cover the full replacement cost of the building had something catastrophic happened. He proposed coverage that in every aspect was better than what I had and the best part…..nearly 50% less expensive. It wasn’t just this property either, it was absolutely every policy I had across the board. Nick delivered an increase in the value of every policy while reducing the out of pocket expenses. Needless to say, I was sold. This experience working with Nick led to a number of referrals of relatives and friends of which are all now customers of Nick. It is great to see, and I am not surprised at all, that Nick now owns the agency he once worked for."
